Sushi: This iconic Japanese dish, consisting of vinegared rice paired with various ingredients such as raw fish, vegetables, and sometimes tropical fruits, is a global favorite. Sushi comes in many forms, including nigiri, sashimi, maki, and temaki. The following is the halal Sushi Recipe.
Ingredients:

- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar

- Nori sheets (seaweed)
- Halal-certified cooked seafood (e.g., shrimp, crab, smoked salmon)
- Cucumber, avocado, and other vegetables
- Soy sauce (ensure halal certification)
- Pickled ginger

Instructions:

- Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a wooden or plastic container and gently fold in the vinegar mixture. Allow the rice to cool to room temperature.
- Place a nori sheet on a bamboo sushi mat, shiny side down. Spread a thin layer of rice over the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
- Arrange the halal seafood and vegetables in a line across the center of the rice.
- Roll the sushi tightly using the mat, then slice into bite-sized pieces with a sharp knife.
- Serve with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi.
